Rick Pitino debuted this all-white Armani suit at Madison Square Garden during St. John's 80-66 win over Creighton on February 16. Convinced to do so by his wife, Pitino purchased the custom suit the day before the matchup, in accordance with the game's "whiteout" theme. The iconic suit was worn again by the legendary coach on March 1 at MSG, during the Red Storm's 71-61 victory against Seton Hall.
Pitino, the Hall of Fame coach, wore a similar all-white suit in 2008, while coaching Louisville.
This season, Coach Pitino, who has won 2 NCAA National Championships as a head coach, was named the Big East Coach of the Year. He led St. John's to their first undefeated season at home since 1931-32, earning its first outright conference crown since the 1984-85 season and their first Big East Tournament title since 2000.
Proceeds will support St John's NIL efforts.
